Experience the Magic: Medina Candlelight Walk 2025

Medina’s historic downtown truly sparkles during the annual Candlelight Walk, and this year’s event is shaping up to be brighter than ever! Mark your calendars for November 21st through 23rd, 2025—this is one tradition you won’t want to miss.​

Picture it: over 1,500 luminaries, 5,000 votive candles, and enough Christmas cheer to power Santa’s sleigh for at least another decade. Shops and restaurants in our nine-block historic district keep their doors open late, welcoming more than 50,000 guests over the weekend. It’s the closest you can get to stepping into a Hallmark holiday movie (minus the snowstorm drama, fingers crossed).​

Friday kicks things off with the Community Tree Lighting Ceremony, guaranteed to help you find your holiday spirit (and maybe misplace your diet plans thanks to the festival treats). Saturday is the main event: the Holiday Parade of Lights, which rolls through downtown from 5:30 p.m. and features 60 glowing floats, cars, trucks, and—of course—people decked out in lights. Once Santa makes his highly anticipated entrance, look to the sky—because Medina caps the night with its famous “Light Up the Night” fireworks show right above Public Square.​

Sunday keeps the party going with special holiday activities and the official kick-off to the shopping season. Whether you’re shopping for one-of-a-kind gifts, snapping selfies with angel wings, or just soaking in the beautiful sights, Candlelight Walk is the kind of hometown magic that makes Medina so special.​
